Gamaliel, KY - August 23, 2009 (Redeeming Love Church)

Taken after the service at Redeeming Love Church - I am standing with Krislyn Kate Holder, the daughter of one of my roommates from RHEMA. I was in the delivery room when she was born. Now she is taller than me...some things in life just aren't fair. :-)

On a serious note...there is more to this picture than meets the eye. Recently, an area minister took out a paid advertisement in a local newspaper regarding women in the pulpit. The man referenced any woman who does so as unorderly. The interesting thing is that Redeeming Love Church was named in the article. (To my knowledge I am the only woman who has ministered there in the last year.)   So, the pastor decided not to be moved and placed my name on the church marquee anyway.

New York and Pennsylvania - July 2009 Ministry Trip

Those of you who know me know that I LOVE babies... On July 4th I got to meet little Abigail Lee whose Mommy and Daddy are such wonderful friends of mine. Their congregation supports Faith to Faith International on a monthly basis, and I was in New York to take their youth group to camp since they were a little bit busy with a 3 day old to go themselves.

The Westchester Family Church youth and me (www.westchesterfamilychurch.org) after the Sunday AM service -- just before we loaded up the vans for the drive to Refreshing Mountain Camp (www.refreshingmountain.com) in Stevens, PA (Lancaster County).

CAMP ** having fun...fun...fun while being challenged mentally, physically, and spiritually.

One of the responsibilities I have every year is to hide the Holy Frog (see above). Each morning I write a rhyme and give clues as to where he may be found, and no one (and I mean no one) gets his hiding place out of me. The campers use scriptures I choose and my funny but not so awe inspiring poetry to locate our beloved lost amphibian.

The daily rhyme always begins the same way:

Holy Frog, Holy Frog,

Where have you gone?

Was it for a long walk?

Or a short hop?

Will you be found?

Oh, will you be found?

The Holy Frog has been hidden each day at camp for the last five years -- it has become quite the tradition. I have been the keeper of the Holy Frog for the last three.

Friends are made...relationships with the Lord and others cemented...and Mr. B is always there.

The best of all though is that lives are forever changed! This summer we saw campers who had been coming for years make major decisions for the Lord... We also saw first timers who took faith-filled steps toward the plans God has for them and their lives. What an honor it has been to be a part of such a momentous event each of the last four years.

California - March 2009 Ministry Trip

Vessels of Hope Community Church ~ Ontario, CA

Part of Worship Team -- held a mini-worship seminar

             My friend, Pastor Jay Ilano

Nothing like the beautiful blue skies and mountains (when there is no smog, of course).

Ontario is where I lived as a child...so this is the view I remember.

There is a story behind this. After the worship seminar (on the 1st Sunday) one of the worship

team members said that I should be initiated.....to Pink's. I had no idea what Pink's was, but I was

game. So....at the end of my trip, the evening of my second Sunday with Vessels of Hope, a large

group loaded up in cars and headed to Hollywood. WOW! All I have to say is that you have not had

a hot dog until you have had one at Pink's, estab. in 1939 and frequented by celebs and soccer moms

alike. Thanks for a great time!
